We took the whole family for the Cherry Festival and had such a fun time. Sleeping Bear Dunes was our favorite—our teenagers loved climbing the dunes and we relaxed by the water after. Only thing is, parking can be tricky downtown during events. Loads of great restaurants and the local ice cream was a big hit.

Traverse City completely charmed us! We spent our days wine tasting on Old Mission Peninsula and evenings downtown. The sunsets at Clinch Park were incredible and everything felt very walkable and friendly. Definitely recommend for a romantic getaway.

We did a fall color drive through Leelanau Peninsula and it was gorgeous. Lots of cider mills and wineries to explore, though some things closed up by late October. Getting a rental car was essential for seeing the area.

Great destination for a relaxed, outdoorsy trip! I loved biking along the TART Trail and exploring the shops on Front Street. The only downside was that the weather changed a lot in just a few hours, so bring a rain jacket.

It was still chilly in early spring, but we enjoyed the Dennos Museum and walked part of the lakeshore. Not much was blooming yet outdoors, but fewer tourists made it relaxing. Parking was easy at that time of year.
