We were in Syracuse for a friend's graduation and loved the university area. Armory Square was packed with energy on a Friday night and the local breweries were great. Parking was a little tricky during big events but nothing too bad. Would return in a heartbeat.

My family enjoyed the Erie Canal Museum and most of all, the Rosamond Gifford Zoo. The kids really liked the penguin exhibit! Downtown felt safe and easy to get around. Eating out can add up if you have a bigger group.

Loved the vibe in Syracuse, especially during the State Fair—so lively and fun. We tried salt potatoes and apple fritters for the first time. Also watched a soccer game at SU and the atmosphere was electric! Highly recommend for a weekend adventure.

Spent a long weekend exploring Syracuse while visiting friends at the university. Armory Square was perfect for nightlife and the history at the Erie Canal Museum really surprised me. Only downside was that the weather was a bit unpredictable.

We came for a hockey tournament and got hit with some serious snow. Still, the city handled it well and public transport kept moving. The restaurants around downtown are diverse and every meal was delicious. Streets could be better marked in winter, though.

Took my parents to the Landmark Theatre for a musical—it’s a stunning place! Onondaga Lake Park was perfect for a sunny afternoon walk. We also loved the summer farmer’s market. Easy to get around with rideshares.

We brought our grandkids to Syracuse and were pleasantly surprised by how kid-friendly it was. The zoo had some new animal exhibits and they could have spent hours at the science museum. Traffic was light on weekends.
