We had a fantastic family trip to Omaha! The Henry Doorly Zoo really is as good as everyone says—our kids could have spent all day in the indoor rainforest. We also loved grabbing ice cream in the Old Market, though parking was sometimes tricky downtown.

Super impressed with Omaha’s food scene. The farm-to-table restaurants and little coffee shops in downtown were fantastic. Getting an Uber was easy, but I wish some attractions stayed open a bit later.

Our children absolutely loved the aquarium and the sky rides at the zoo. We also rented bikes and rode across the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge—great views over the river! The city felt very clean and friendly.

Even in winter there’s plenty to do indoors. We checked out a performance at the Holland Center and had some of the best BBQ I’ve had in the Midwest. Definitely planning on coming back with friends.
