Newport Beach has a great balance of laid-back and lively energy. My family loved playing on the beach and riding the ferry to Balboa Island. Only downside was parking—it gets packed quickly. Otherwise, we’d go back in a heartbeat.

Took a solo trip here for a little R&R and it didn’t disappoint! The sunsets from Newport Pier are unreal and I ate some of the best fish tacos I’ve ever had. Definitely recommend renting a bike and cruising around the boardwalk.
