We came as a family and both kids and adults had a blast. Loved the Public Market and Discovery World. It did get busy downtown during the baseball game, so plan ahead on game nights!

The Harley-Davidson Museum is a must even if you’re not into bikes! Walked a lot and enjoyed how compact everything feels. Some construction near the lake, but it didn’t affect our plans much.

Fall was perfect—cool weather, beautiful parks, and fewer crowds. Tried my first cheese curds at Lakefront Brewery and I’m hooked! City feels safe and very accessible. Would love to return for a festival.

Architecturally, the city is a treat. Stayed near Brady Street—easy to explore on foot, tons of bars and coffee shops. The historic mansions are so pretty. Parking took some patience though.

Milwaukee in winter is underrated! Enjoyed cozy bars, brewery tours, and holiday lights downtown. The art museum looked magical with snow by the lake. Some things close a bit early in winter, just FYI.

We loved the Mitchell Park Domes and all the different flowers. Ate at the Public Market almost every day. Wish there were more direct flights, but drive from Chicago wasn’t bad.

Some attractions were closed for winter, but still lots to do—loved the museums and indoor beer halls. Snow made walking tricky at times. Would say summer or fall is probably better for a visit.

Historic Third Ward is fantastic for shopping and art. The Hop streetcar made it easy to get around, but it doesn’t go everywhere—plan accordingly. Milwaukee had some of the friendliest folks we met on our trip.

Foodies paradise! Ate incredible German sausages, local ice cream, and discovered great coffee roasters. Try the farmer’s market for fresh local produce. Surprisingly affordable city.

Took my parents on a nostalgia trip—lots of new development but still has that old school Midwest charm. We all loved the lakefront walkways and gardens. Plenty of things for all ages.

Biked the Oak Leaf Trail and got great views of the city. Stopped for lunch in the Third Ward—honestly some of the best sandwiches I’ve had. Wish we’d had more time to check out the jazz clubs.

Visited for German Fest with my family and it was a blast—dancing, great food, parades! Lake Michigan beaches were a hit with the kids. Hotels book up fast during festivals, so plan ahead.
