I’ve never seen landscapes like the Na Pali Coast in my life. Our helicopter tour was the highlight—the waterfalls and canyons from above took my breath away. We stayed on the North Shore and loved the local vibe, especially farmers markets in Hanalei.

Waimea Canyon was absolutely stunning with all the vibrant colors. Renting a car was essential since we wanted to explore at our own pace. Only thing was some trails got really muddy after rain, so be prepared.

Loved kayaking on the Wailua River and hiking to Secret Falls. The island is so lush compared to the other Hawaiian islands I’ve visited. Meals were a bit pricey but the plate lunches and shave ice were totally worth it after a long day outdoors.

We brought our two kids and had an awesome time snorkeling at Poʻipū Beach. Hanalei Bay was great for beginners learning to surf. It does rain a lot in the north so we juggled beach days, but the sun always seemed to come out again.

No place like Kauai for hiking! The Kalalau Trail is challenging but the views make every step worth it. We saw lots of wildlife around Kilauea Point too. One of my all-time favorite trips.

The scenery is unreal, especially on the boat tour along the Na Pali Coast. We had a few rainy days but found some cool art galleries in Kapa’a to wander through. Wish more restaurants stayed open later, but overall a truly special place.

We’re a family of four and Kauai was perfect for us. Our teens loved ziplining and swimming at Lydgate Beach Park. Had some trouble finding affordable groceries, so we ate out more than planned.

Fern Grotto was magical and I appreciated the peacefulness of the whole island. Nightlife is almost nonexistent, but that’s exactly what I wanted for some quiet downtime. Everyone we met was so welcoming.
