Crater Lake was absolutely stunning—the blue was like nothing I'd ever seen. We loved driving the Rim Drive and stopping at all the overlooks. The lodge was a bit pricey but worth it for the views at breakfast. Wish there were more food options, though.

We hiked the Cleetwood Cove Trail and actually braved the swim! Freezing but unforgettable. The ranger talks were super informative. Visiting in July meant perfect weather and clear skies.

It was our first trip to Oregon and this was the highlight. The sunset from the Watchman Peak trail left everyone speechless. Our kids enjoyed looking for chipmunks near the lodge. Bring layers—it gets chilly fast after sundown.

Crater Lake was beautiful but a lot of the trails and views were snowed in when we came in May. Still enjoyed the Sinnott Overlook and saw a bald eagle! Come in later summer if you want the full experience.

The drive up felt remote and special. I went with friends and we spent half a day hiking and taking photos. Not much in the way of restaurants so we ended up making sandwiches in the parking lot. Would return with family next time.
