Came for the music and wasn’t disappointed—the nightlife is fantastic, especially around the Northern Quarter. The selection of live gigs and record shops is huge for music lovers. The only issue was that some restaurants needed reservations even on weekdays.

I can see why Manchester is popular, but winter was a bit grey and chilly. The museums helped pass the cold days, and coffee shops in the city center were warm and inviting. If you come, maybe try for a spring or summer visit.
