I loved the energy of Conakry—Marché Madina was a total sensory overload, in a good way! The ferry trip out to Îles de Los was the highlight for me; the beaches were surprisingly quiet and clean. The food stalls near the port served some seriously tasty grilled fish. I do wish the taxi situation was easier, though—negotiating every ride took some getting used to.
